Last week, our wildlife explorers had a very exciting encounter! During our bird spotting activity we were delighted to see redwings visiting our special rowan tree! A very lucky moment. 🙂

Pupils are enjoying completing their Mission to Mars challenges in Science. We found out a lot of interesting information about the planet. Last week we started designing and building our domes. Ask your child to tell you more!

P5/6 are all working towards a handwriting target for the next few weeks. Targets include ~ to work on sizing of letters, producing consistently neat handwriting, introducing cursive joins or becoming more fluent in joining their handwriting. Lots of effort is being put in from every pupil ~ well done!

P5-7 pupils enjoyed their first coding club today. Lots of concentration and a few giggles along the way too!

Digital club will begin next week, on Monday 18th November. All P5-P7 pupils are welcome. It will run from 3.25pm – 4pm. This term we will look at coding projects using code.org. The final digital club of this term will be held on Monday 16th December.
Pupils have their wonderful Christmas card designs in their school bags tonight. Orders to be returned to school by Friday 15th November please.
P5/6 will have their last school swimming lesson (Thursday) for the session. As a treat, pupils are allowed to bring some spending money to buy one item from the Aquadome vending machines. Snacks & drinks are available. The vending machines accept silver coins as well as £1 & £2 coins. If you wish your child to bring spending money, I would suggest a maximum of £2.
P5/6 have two swimming sessions left this term. Please take swimming kit tomorrow. Thank you!
Exciting news ~ pupils in Primary 6 and 7 have their Chromebooks now ready to take home today or tomorrow! Chargers can be left at home safely and will be returned to the Primary School along with the Chromebook and case at the end of P7. Pupils will take their Chromebook to school every day. A copy of the terms and condition letter is attached for your information and I would highly recommend the link to https://www.digilearnhighland.co.uk for any tips and questions you may have. Enjoy exploring and learning! 🙂

Welcome back! I enjoyed hearing all the exciting holiday news. We have welcomed Rowan to the class today. We finished the day with some outdoor measuring using trundle wheels, metre sticks and rulers. We looked at the links between metres, centimetres and millimetres and different ways we can record measurements such as 0.25m, 25cm,250mm.
Tomorrow (Tuesday) we will have indoor P.E with Mrs Woodhouse.
